Abstract

Filariasis is a major public health problem in Nepal as in other subtropical
countries like India, Indonesia, China and parts of Africa. It is estimated that
over 140 million people all over the world have filariasis. However, no nation
wide data is available in Nepal. A case of microfilarae in FNAC cytological
smears from a lump in breast in being reported.
